1. How The Pass Key Uses Cookies & Local Storage
The Pass Key (thepasske.com) is designed so that you can generate passwords, PINs, and passphrases and check password strength with zero required tracking cookies. We separate our storage architecture into two strict rules:
- Zero Credential Storage in Cookies or Web Storage: Passwords, passphrases, numeric PINs, and Password Strength Checker inputs are processed exclusively in volatile JavaScript memory inside your active browser tab. They are never written to HTTP cookies,
localStorage,sessionStorage, IndexedDB, or URL parameters. - Consent-Only Analytics Cookies: Non-essential analytics scripts (Google Analytics 4) are blocked by default on initial page load and are only activated if you explicitly click Accept on our cookie consent banner.
